QUILT PREPARATION

A little preparation helps your quilt load smoothly and gives you the best possible quilting results.

BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR QUILT

• Press the quilt top and backing.

• Clip stray threads, especially dark threads behind light fabrics, to help prevent shadowing or bearding.

• Check that seams are secure and borders lie flat.

• Mark the top of your quilt and identify any directional fabric or design.

• Bring your own batting or or let Bluffs & Bobbin handle it for you!

• We carry both premium 80/20 blend and 100% cotton batting options to give your quilt the perfect finish.

• Batting must be a minimum of 8 inches wider and 8 inches longer than the quilt top.
